We've been giving the samples a try and so far it's working! Phew, what a relief! Mia has been consistently drinking about 4 ozs. While it's still less than what she should be consuming (5-6oz), we'll take any small gains for our little girl. We also had some success with spoon-fed foods. As posted earlier, she strongly disliked cereal and applesauce. We continued offering it each day in hopes that she would acquire a taste for them as what baby doesn't like apples? Good news, she's been eating cereal without the drama - spitting it out, trying to cough it up, or fussing.
During our therapy visit, a physical therapist stopped in to check out Mia's high muscle tone. The PT spent a few minutes with her and recommended that we get a referral from our Ped for a full PT evaluation. While I don't think that it's anything serious, we don't want her physical development sitting, crawling or walking to be affected. More to come on this.
