It was a home run!

How many three year olds have their birthday at the Mariner's stadium? I'm guessing not many, but it seemed quite fitting for Dylan who is a huge FAN of baseball. On April 25, a trip to the playground, tour of the stadium, batting practice, a souvenir game ball and lunch in a suite overlooking the field, we celebrated Dylan's 3rd birthday with 25 family/friends. The party was a home run!

While Dylan was a bit bummed about not being able to bat on the field, he quickly forgot about it and was able to enjoy the rest of the occasion. On our way to the car after the party, Dylan sadly said, "Mama, my birthday party is over." Oh baby, if he only understood that there will be many more celebrations to come. On that note, it's quite daunting to think about organizing two birthday parties for our kids every year. Lots of prep time, $ and energy to pull them off - does it get any easier or do I need to consider hiring an event planner for Mia's first birthday?
