Dylan has only wandered out of bed a couple of times after being tucked in. Lately, it's become a bit more frequent as he takes advantage of his new "big boy" milestone - the potty. The other night, Devin found him in the hallway way past his bedtime. Here's how things played out while Dylan used the restroom...
Dylan: Papa, I have a question for you.
Devin: Ok.
Dylan: I never say 'no' to you, but you say 'no' to me. I don't like it when you yell at me.
Devin: Are you talking about when you get out of bed after you've been tucked in?
Dylan: Yes.
Devin: Ok. What would you rather have me say?
Dylan: Dylan, please go back to your bed.
Devin: And you will listen if I ask you?
Dylan: Yes.
Done. Simple enough.
