Dylan had a stomach virus this weekend, so kept him home from school on Monday. Here's a short transcription of a conversation we had the next morning:
Me: "Mama and Papa enjoyed staying home with you yesterday. But we have to go back to work today. Do you know where will you be going when we're at work today?"
Dylan: "Oh" (which is Dylan's way of saying "yes"). "Mama work. Papa work."
Me: "You're right. Mama and Papa are going to work. What will you do today?"
Dylan: "Baby work."
He was confident and didn't hesitate in responding. It was really cute and a moment that I wish we had been able to capture on video.
