MTV for kids

Sesame Street's webpage hosts several music videos that famous singers and the good ol' Sesame Street characters. Dylan is amused by them and has developed his favorites. Here's his top, most popular picks:

Fiest: "1, 2, 3, 4"
Sheryl Crow: "Soak Up the Sun"
Chris Brown: "See the Signs"

This morning, he tried signing along with Fiest to a beat "na, na, na". Watch the video yourself and you'll figure out where he chimed in :)

Not to diverge too far, it amazes me how technology is just part of every kids life. Compare and contrast 1980s and today. When Devin and I were in elementary school, we played Oregon Trail and Carmen San Diego using floppy disks. There was no Internet. Dylan has developed a fascination with technology - or maybe just Apple products. For example, he loves Devin's iPhone. After seeing Devin play with it for a short period of time, Dylan knew exactly how to scroll through applications and/or photos by touching the screen and moving it sideways. Before the snow storm, we were shopping at the Apple Store (and that's because Devin dragged us in there - no MSFTie would dare be found in there :)). Dylan sat down to play at the computers set up for kids. He had figured out the mouse and knew that the keyboard controlled the game (Dr. Seuss' ABCs) on the screen. He could have been there for hours - so you probably can figure out what type of reaction we got from Dylan when we had to leave.

If Dylan takes after Devin and passion for technology, he will need to try out every new gadget that hits the retail shelves. We may also have to invest in some AAPL stock. Dylan better start looking for a job to pay for those expenses :)
