On Memorial Day weekend last year, we ventured down south to NW Trek. For as long as I've lived in WA, I don't recall ever going to NW Trek. We had seen an advertisement about it and decided to give it a try - why not. If you've never been, think about a zoo of northwest animals situated in a large state park (I think that it's actually private property - but who really cares about that). The actual 'trek' (tram) was entertaining for the first 15 minutes. However, it took a lot of snacks and distraction to keep the kids seated and contained in the tram for the remaining 25 minutes. By the end, everyone was anxious to disembark and see animals other than bison and deer. Ever seen a beaver on a leash? See below.
